Mr. Sleem joined BGI in 2011 as Director of Business Development responsible for site acquisition, outreach to local business and community leaders. As a Ghanaian with extensive contacts he is instrumental in widening BGI’s footprint in Ghana.
Prior to joining BGI he spent six years in journalism and served as managing editor of two private newspapers. In 2006 he entered tourism and international volunteer development and was instrumental in the development of Old Accra as the perfect tourist destination in Accra and Ghana. He served as Head Of Heritage and Volunteer Development at Ashanti African Tours limited and was the president of the Old Accra Guides before taking up the full time role of Manager for Product Development, Marketing, tourism and contents for M&J Group Of Companies in 2010.
Yao is a seasoned writer and has two books to his credit with his current work titled ”˜till Debt Do Us Part, current being published.
He earned a degree from the University of Ghana and a postgraduate certificate from the Ghana Institute Of Management And Public Administration, GIMPA. He is pursuing further business studies at GIMPA in strategic marketing research and business intelligence systems.
